REGISTER NOW HERE

SPACE IS LIMITED TO 40

Over the last couple years the Mississippi Lime play of Northern Oklahoma and Southern Kansas has spurred a revival of sorts for the oil and gas industry in the north midcontinent region. While drilling activity is up in this area there is still much to be known about the complex geology of this important play.

Join TORP in conjunction with the Kansas Geological Survey, Kansas Geological Society, and the University of Arkansas, as we explore the lower Mississippian geology of the tri-state region in a one-and-a-half day field trip designed to study key outcrops in the area.

The starting point for the trip will be the Hyatt Place in Rogers, Arkansas. Check in will begin 5:00 p.m. on May 5th  and will consist of registration, dinner, and general format meeting to discuss the details of the next day’s events.

WHILE WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO ARRIVE ON THE 5TH DON’T WORRY. IF YOU MAKE IT IN LATE THAT NIGHT OR EARLY ON THE 6TH YOU WILL NOT MISS FIELD TRIP CONTENT.

The the bus will depart at 8:00 a.m. the morning of May 6th and travel through key Mississippian outcrop locations in Arkansas and Missouri before returning to the Hyatt Place for the night. May 7th will follow the same format and end at the Hyatt Place around noon.
